Abstract
In this paper, a theoretical model was established that vocational education promote economic growth through the promotion of human capital accumulation and the promotion of employment, and made an empirical test of the model by taking advantage of 31 provinces panel data. The results show that the development of vocational education can promote economic growth, average contribution rate is 0.23%, the rate of vocational education contributed to economic growth through the promotion of human capital accumulation is 0.05%, the rate of vocational education contributed to economic growth through the promotion of employment is 0.18%. However, vocational education will become a constraint on economic growth, if the development can not adapt to the economic growth,
